If you are stuck in the rut of only applying yourself when you're naturally inclined to be interested, my experience is that you won't accomplish much. If you have aspirations beyond getting a paycheck adequate to support rent, food, and entertainment, your best bet is to decide that it sure would be interesting to figure out how to motivate yourself without being interested.

Never got around to it, really. Not to mention that my internet is a horrible satellite connection with a 14 or so gigs per month limit, meaning I don't have the internet capacity to regularly download games.

Also, part of the reason I don't have steam is that I run Linux, which Wikipedia tells me means that I'd miss out on a little over 6/7ths of the games on there.

Steambox is going to be linux-based. More than likely that more games will support Linux because of that.

You people have roughly as much of a chance of getting me to drop my superiority complex hatred of things whose Wikipedia article titles contain the word "corporation" and download Steam as there is a group of PETA activists assassinating the queen of England with unsharpened pencils in hand-to-hand combat in the next five minutes.

Maybe the odds are closer to somebody acing the SAT just by guessing? I dunno. Somewhere in that neighborhood.

There's also the fact that I've never played any of Valve's games or even heard of them until a TVTropes page mentioned the origin of "The Cake is a Lie" to me a few years back.
