You get used to it after a while.

If 5 years isn't enough to get used to being half-an-inch shy of 6 feet, I don't know how long I'll need.
And now I learn I'm actually taller but just squished down like a slinky?
Bah. I'm torn between taking the treatments to relieve the back pain or not taking them to remain short.

I'm pretty sure the risk of becoming crippled for life if I don't take them is the deciding factor, though.

If you're going to end up below 6 foot and 4 then it's not exceptionally tall, you're fine.

*Is 6 foot four and still hits his head on bunk beds, despite sleeping in them most of his life.

But I've learned to watch my head around most other things. So ~20 years should be more than enough time, judging from personal experience. More like ~7, though, since I've only been 6ft for about that long.

Bunk beds are literally Genghis Khan. Especially when the top bunk has the ceiling close enough that you bonk your head on IT instead of the bunk above you. I'm not even that tall.

Actually, wearing gloves and a gas mask everywhere is never a bad idea. Alan Turing used to wear a military-issue gas mask during spring to avoid hay fever. And he chained his mug to a pipe to prevent people stealing it. Basically, Alan Turing was awesome.

My brother seemed slightly off-put. I'm not just quoting stupid memes when my original reaction was "it was inevitable". I pretty much expected that. Maybe not all at once, but certainly quickly.

Exertion isn't a bad thing! You'll never be able to improve, or know what you're capable of, unless you exert yourself.
