Just came home from an 11-hour Maximum Bullshit shift. I have eaten nothing today. My car is deteriorating fast and needs nearly a gallon of water added to the radiator every day. I got maybe 5 hours of sleep last night thanks to recurring sorta-nightmares. And I still have two more days to go this week.

In short, I am exhausted, depressed, and extremely angry at everything. I wonder what tomorrow will be like  :-\

And the country is still trillions of dollars in debt.
Yes, clearly to make up the deficit we must raise taxes on the poor, who are obviously just holding out.
And all poor people are drug addicts, obviously.

*Puts hand up*
There was an incident like that sometime ago, wasn't there? Where the inflation was so absurd they had to introduce an entirely new currency just to fix it? What was that place called?

still waiting for the moment where america has more debt than there are dollars in existence

should be fun
According to the FRB, there are $1.29 trillion in circulation. We're well beyond that point.

According to numerous "debt clocks", we're about $17.7 trillion in debt.
$1.29 trillion american, or is that counting canadian and austrailian dollars as well?
Well if we're doing that, why not just the total value of all money on Earth?

Germany was pretty bad in the twenties - they even used money as wallpaper or as children's toys. To this day, Germans have an irrational fear of inflation because of this.
A joke from that time: Someone takes a wheelbarrow full of money to the bank. On the way there, he hops into a shop to buy something. When he comes back out, the money's still there - but somebody stole the wheelbarrow.

In Zimbabwe they use(d) money as toilet paper though. I guess they win the pissing contest.

I still like the one where a man took out his life savings from the bank, and had it stored in some baskets or something. They stole the baslets and left the money....

Maybe it was suitcases. Baskets don't seem to fit.

Also, I think it was common practice in Germany to toss your money out the window on payday to your wife waiting below, who would then go buy the necessaries before prices rose again.

If I'm not mistaken, in the 20's it was cheaper and more efficient to burn money, than to buy firewood in Germany. This may, however, be hyperbole.

I've just been depressed today, and I don't know why.
Also some asshat nearly ran me over with their truck in the parking lot, but meh, I was depressed before that.
