No it's not. You're a cool person! I would be extremely sad if you died. Please don't die, either of you.
Sorry, this may get on the ranting side, but this just triggered one of my pet peeves.

Spoiler: rant (click to show/hide)

Nah, I was addressing you. I've seen you in the Mafia and FG&RP boards before as well, even if I haven't directly interacted with you. I'm just very lurky on those boards, since I don't have time to allow myself to be sucked in.
Then I'm sure you've seen me make an ass of myself and generally only serve to annoy those around me in both places. And that certainly explains why we've never talked.

I dunno, you certainly haven't ever irritated me, and I certainly haven't ever seen you do anything approaching 'making an ass of yourself'.

Oooorrr Arx just has an outsider's perspective on your actions that differs from your own evaluation thereof. S'pretty common when you're heavily depressed and whatnot. Own worst critic is self, lens of negativity colors others actions unduly, etc., etc.

Gods know I look at people like they're crazy often enough when I get praised for something, but I do realize they look at things I consider unworthy of recognition as otherwise. Self-depreciation can only go so far before it stops being honest appraisal and starts being self-deception. We're rarely as terrible as we think we are, really.

People, before you kill yourself, try heroin. Being a junkie is horrible, but it's better than being dead. And heroin is kinda fun as far as I know.

I...really don't think that's good advice.

If you're suicidal the last thing you need is a drug which at the best of times makes you do foolish things.

That's not how heroin works...
And apparently that's a stance seriously promoted by some people. I wasn't being quite that serious.

Rule 1 of dealing with possibly suicidal people: Whatever you say, they won't think it's funny.

Also, heroin does make you do foolish things. Sharing needles is seriously messed up.

The IRC channel is as much subject to derails as the forums. Check back later, they'll probably be talking about something entirely different.

This is not necessarily true. You just have to force the conversation away.
Though I will give you most of the conversation is around WH40k.

it is very hard to express just how wrong this is.

you stayed in the channel for like 4 minutes, that's like looking at a random page of a random thread on a forum and deciding that that forum talks only about the things that are being talked on on that page.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

the irc is lewd more often than objective, from my limited week-or-so experience in the matter

but that's the only complaint i have towards it

other than being boring as hell

objective being in the channel and the channel being lewd are somewhat related, actually. :P
