Eugh, that's just disgusting. How could you even suggest something that nasty?

I can't picture milk and coke working together, actually.

They don't.

Chocolate milk and Dr Pepper don't either.

Curse my love of mixing drinks together.

Adding milk makes anything drinkable, really.
Factually untrue in the most horrifying ways. Some things sincerely and violently disagree with the taste of milk.

As per the ninja, "some things" include many carbonated drinks. The main-line sodas around here -- coke, pepsi, etc. -- are absolutely vile in milk. Yes, I've tried it. It is horrible.

I was once at a coffee shop where you could buy steamed milk with flavour shots. I noticed they had some flavour shots available that weren't listed on the menu for steamed milk. Feeling subversive, I decided to order one (mango, I think).

Turns out there was a reason they weren't listed for milk. (Hint: IT WAS LUMPY)

Maybe share awareness of it? Make a thread and...err, decipher them out? Its of importance of you here, so probably keep it alive?

Sads: Aunt in critical condition. Back to 'effects of stroke'.
Parents are home though. They brought this news. :-\

The last few months I've been finding it harder and harder to find the motivation to do... anything really :/
I haven't seen any of my friends in almost two months now, stopped eating at least daily a while before that, and some part of me just wants to lie in bed the whole day. I just feel so useless.

I'm going to move in a few weeks so I'm hoping I can leave all of this behind, but I fear it's not going to be that easy. Not that I really have a choice, as if this continues next year I may as well quit uni.
This. Hopefully it's just burnout and will go away after a few weeks of rest, but it really sucks in the present.

Tiruin, I really hope her condition improves. Strokes take a while to recover from, so these symptoms don't necessarily mean she's failing to recover.

You guys with the milk must be doing it wrong. Add milk to beverage, not beverage to milk, otherwise the milk will curdle.

I'd...suggest finishing uni at the moment--find something to hang onto, someone around there to help you. If it's your course that's doing you that displease, weigh the pros and cons of finishing it now or switching to another course that you'd like to go into.

University is a scary place, but that is where most people find their personal selves tested. Create your drive Dutchling, or revive it. Is it possible to make contact with your friends through any which way? True Friends == Lifeline in Uni. Possibly ask advice from those you can trust around you with experience?

Problem with my friends is that they all still have social lives from their hometowns, while I did my best to completely cut off all my high school "friends".

But as I said, I'm moving soon (in-campus), so I guess a house warming of some sort is in order :/

I hate getting sick at uni. Missing classes hurts even worse, so I always feel the need to go to class anyway. The only ones I feel justified in skipping class for are stomach bugs, due to frequency and severity of interruptions, and now in the last week of the quarter I've gotten a particularly nasty one.

@Tiruin: I hope your aunt gets better, I just found out today that my father in law is going to undergo heart surgery tomorrow, so, not saying "I know how you feel", but, yeah.

Just remind yourself that the surgeons are trained professionals that have likely done this many times before. If that helps.

Haven't heard anything from the places I handed resumes out to, nor from any of my online applications or from the temp agency.

My mom wants me to volunteer somewhere, since I can't get a job. She always talks with this angry, patronizing tone, even when she isn't angry.

I did think about calling the place where I volunteered during highschool, but when I pick up the phone I get too nervous to call. I get nervous too easily.
