Vector's a failure? Huh. Then many of my life's problems must stem from not failing enough, considering how good Vector is at so many things I want to be good at.

Also, Truean! You've returned! It is now impossible to be sad for long. It's good to see you again!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Comeback: "Thanks for seeing me as an equal, mom"
Next time she, or anyone else, calls you a failure, do this.
...How's about no, please?
I mean, c'mon. There's a difference between returning whatever immature triviality to your parents and...well, returning [shit] with respect.
Because we mostly do the latter here. Sure, it may just rebound the jerkiness of the statement but I doubt it'd help her mom learn that what she said is...not helpful in anyway unless her mom realizes that.

Actually, this is something that I think should be done to all those who have abusive parents. Look at their attitude with hate and scorn rather than the person as a whole. Attitude =/= Person.

@Vector: Even if she's your mom, delegate whatever negativity she says to you that you know is totally untrue to an attitude you don't like instead of delegating it to the person. It's better for everyone that way and helps understand why these people are like that.
You're not a failure, even if it comes from a source you're attached to. You're an awesome person. Someone I look up to a lot. >_>
You know yourself.

Had an absolutely mandatory 9 page rough draft I needed to finish this weekend, but I did everything humanly possible to procrastinate it including starting and finishing projects for every other class. Which makes no sense, because the subject for this paper is something I'd much rather write about. I feel like I'm screaming at myself to get back to work but I won't listen. Then I'll spend tomorrow lambasting myself. How fucking hard is it to just sit down and work? How?

Holy shit, Truean's not dead!  That's like ... one of the few (or maybe only) things that have made me happy this year.

Nobody should ever have to learn how much it sucks to be dumped because your boy/girlfriend likes somebody else more than you, and get lied to your face every step of the way.

The last few months I've been finding it harder and harder to find the motivation to do... anything really :/
I haven't seen any of my friends in almost two months now, stopped eating at least daily a while before that, and some part of me just wants to lie in bed the whole day. I just feel so useless.

I'm going to move in a few weeks so I'm hoping I can leave all of this behind, but I fear it's not going to be that easy. Not that I really have a choice, as if this continues next year I may as well quit uni.

Oh...
This sucks! I wish I could send you some of my tea, but:

- I'm not sure if you would like it
- I don't know where you live
- It's probably not worth the effort anyway
