Well a donkey is also called an ass, and some people with weak stomachs have problems with their asses after burritos.

Seems about right.

...Since I don't know what you're mom has done, I'd say you've accomplished more than her.
Comeback: "Thanks for seeing me as an equal, mom"
Next time she, or anyone else, calls you a failure, do this.

:v

If you're a failure, so is the human race.

... Of course, the human race kind of -is- a failure, but that's neither here nor there.

If we kill ourselves in the next century, I just want you to know, you were one of the best of us failures.

If we don't, I'll see you at Alpha Centauri <3

Vector, I know you know this, but you are definitely not a failure.
I look up to you.
I feel much the same way. You're one of the greatest people on the forums, Vector.

Woo! I wonder what she'd call me. You are amongst the greatest minds of the 21st century. Seriously. I mean, I could legitimately compare you to Isaac Newton (but a much better person), and make a damn good case for why you belong mentioned in the same echelon.

Vector,

I can relate to your situation with your mother quite a bit. Mine has never supported me.

I passed the bar exam with flying colors on the first try (many people don't pass at all, much less first try). My mother's response upon hearing this wonderful news:

"That's great! Now you can finally get your head out of your ass...."

She still considers me a failure and she always will. It hurts and it always will. Hang in there; you are far from a failure.
