I've never been one for math. I'm relatively good at what parts of it I know, if I sit down and focus on it, but I find it a bit hard to learn new parts. The only kind of higher level stuff that seemed to come naturally to me was statistics, which is good because it invariably comes up in whatever science class I take. I've been avoiding math classes in college so far, filling the requirements with things like Logic and Reasoning, but some tell me that this is a bad idea and I should take higher math at least once. I guess my avoidance is partly due to having a really inept Calc teacher back in High School. Not a bad guy, but those who did not want to do any work knew they could get him to spend the entire class on anecdotes about his grandchildren.

Sounds like my math teacher. She had several rather unique jobs before becoming a teacher, and she makes sure to tell us all about them. I didn't even know that there was such thing as a milk engineer before I was in her class.
Spoiler: One of her stories (click to show/hide)
And then there's the cooking; she's the Home Ec. teacher, and so her math class is in the same room as the kitchen, so some classes she just says, "Okay, we're having a vote: who wants to do math? And who would rather go cook in the kitchen?" You can probably guess which side gets the majority on that one.

I do really like her class; it's a lot of fun, and I learn a lot of stuff that will probably be really useful at some point in my life, but the thing is, I learn barely any math.

Depending on the level of math you're dealing with, your class may be learning more math than you think. Measurements are fractions and precision, after all.

Exams are starting, but while I can normally force myself to study, I cannot make myself rewrite one of the lab reports I need to even be allowed to take the exam. I just don't have a clue what the assistant wants from me anymore, because what he told me to do is contrary to what the instruction tells me to do, and even though I have what allegedly is correct from my friend. Which still doesn't help.

My homemade alfredo doesn't microwave well. I have a pile of slightly cheesy noodles sitting in a pool of butter.

...is this a problem, or a solution?

Maybe 'burrito' stands for 'breasts of a latina person'? You know, with the rolled R and so on...
o_O

Technically, it means "little donkey".

Burro (donkey) + -ito (prefix for "small") = burrito = "little donkey"

Other languages do not necessarily act like English. For example, in French they say 'Pencil blue' instead of 'blue pencil' and such.

this is the wrongest of angles you could possibly approach me being a little shit and using the word prefix as it should be with

learn your fixes yo

That's because Spanish is, coincidentially, the closest thing there is to being a humanly speakable dialect of the eldritch tongue. Untrained amateurs occasionally summon mildly confused Things That Were Not Meant To BeTM, which then usually proceed to demand where the tacos are before chucklefucking the poor sod's sanity.

Called my mother and talked to her about coming to visit nex week.
While talking to her about all the stuff I'm busy with (she asked), I heard my father say "He's lying to you anyway" in the background.

I really could use some support and empathy every now and then.
Ouch. I hope you said something like "Tell dad I love him too"?
