They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

The only scars I have, I have no idea how I acquired.
There's a very faint scar across the bridge of my nose that I've had as long as I can remember, and a short straight scar on the side of my wrist that just turned up one day. I used to have a decent-sized scar on my knee from falling over once, but on inspection it seems to have vanished.

My only really bad injuries were the time I shattered my elbow, and the time I fell down a hill and damaged my hearing.

...Once I grated off part of my finger along with the cheese, does that count? :-\

All these talks of injuries. Makes me feel like I know you guys so well.

Oh, also, getting hit in the head by a machete did not give me a scar, which really should have.
Also, although I technically don't have a scar on my ear, it is noticeably lower now from when it nearly got cut off, does that count?

I think the worst (in this case biggest) scar I have is one nearly all the way down my back.

Always check the footing of old buildings if there's a slight dip. Always. If it broke any sooner than it did odds are the rebar that sliced my poor old favorite shirt in half would of actually impaled me I bet.

I am not! I just seem to have an unnaturally high regeneration! Or at least I used too.

...Actually, I never got any scars until that one plant got me, and I've been getting scarred since. It must have done something to me.

...how did you manage that? That sounds...pretty painful.
First I split the flesh between my thumb and index finger pretty deep and a lot of blood came out. Then, after bandaging my hand, I flayed my forearm near the elbow. The flaying left a scar, the splitting didn't.

As for the burn, I was melting plastic forks on a campfire and got a drop on my finger that cooked the flesh all the way down so when I pulled the molten plastic pellet off, there was bone beneath. It definitely left a scar.

Yeesh. That sounds sore.

I've had no scars, no broken bones, no illness. Not even hay fever. Here's to hoping that continues.

Eh. Aside from a light dusting of cooking burn scars, I just have various scars from knives on my arms and hands, most of them accidents.
Also I've got a decent divot in my wrist where a guy managed to lay me open with a shoe-nail.

Does this mean I should toss a building at him and hope for the best?

All I have is a tiny mark from when I burned my finger on a soldering iron a few years ago.
