Another school week begins...
You're really getting bummed out by this stuff aren't you? Is it really that bad?
... the korean school system is a bit notorious for being pretty brutal, so... yeah, it kinda' is.
It is. It's an unhappy place which does not fully take in the holistic mind of the person, or their learning capabilities.
I hope Skyrunner is ok.

The obvious answer is to sleep, and dream of Sweeny Todd.

I don't think you'd be able to sleep that well that way.

Someone told me kingsoft was a good free alternative to certain microsoft products so I downloaded it from the kingsoft site... yeah lots of nasty stuff came along with it. Took me an hour to get the stupid malware off my computer... I'm not very good at that stuff and it was rather frustrating to have to spend an hour doing that. The paranoia that I missed something will no doubt haunt me long into the future.

... you want LibreOffice or Open Office. I prefer the first, m'self, but they're both quite functional.

Had a relative who taught English in SK for a while. Kids' parents would routinely get mad at him for not giving their children enough homework. Because kids shouldn't have free time 0_o  You have my sympathies, Skyrunner.

In other news I have to prepare a five minute speech about lobsters with three sources. It's not so bad in itself. But.

Go into long, drawn out detail about all the magical tasty ways to commit lobster genocide. Bam, five minute long speech. Bonus points if you bring butter for demonstrations.

I have occasional moments of disturbing clarity where I realise that I know exactly how easy it would be to, for example, drive a kitchen knife through my hand into a counter. Or that if I wanted to, I could be dead inside ten minutes.

I'm definitely talking about the suffering part in the speech, and the telomeres. Instead of the schism, I'm talking about how servants demanded they not be fed lobster more than thrice a week in the 19th century, back when lobsters were regularly twenty pounds.
