Exhausted and emotionally drained. After the initial high of passing a test and acing a maneuver back at the school, I became stuck for over an hour on the exact same maneuver after a small error and the "help" of my classmates kept me moving back and forth and in every direction. By the time I had been out there 45 minutes, I was cursing up a storm and getting mad enough to bite holes in the dashboard.

I eventually had to be bailed out by an instructor, who at least knew what he was doing and ran me through a couple more maneuvers before letting me go home. My right arm aches, my left leg is shaky, and right now I want nothing more than to be off my feet for the rest of the evening.

Commiserations!

I'm waiting to hear back from 14 job proposals right now (6 of which could be pretty big deals), and it's driving me nutters! At least 4 of you are past the deadline for making up your mind, so do it already! Rawr!

Contracting for freelance work kinda blows. Imagine a future where you're applying for jobs... forever.

Yeah, well.  One rejection and another one I'm apparently going to have to keep waiting for through the weekend, though they said they'd be done "soon, definitely within the next week" last Friday and I sent a thank-you note and everything.

Grrr.  I need the data on that so I can resolve a housing situation.

Well, the vet said that he would be fine without teeth. And it's only his back teeth anyway. Still, it's pretty sad to see him like this. He's generally pretty arrogant.

My brother's cat (big old, pompous Ragdoll Himalayan) had all his teeth removed. Though he could eat wet food fine, for some reason he insists on eating dry food; he gums the kibbles until they're soft.

Even toothless, he's still thinks he's the boss around the house. I'm sure your cat will be fine after some adjustment.

Try attending events at a local gaming or hobby shop or something. Meet girls with whom you may share interests with, and who- if they get your phone number- won't sell it to a spam company. They might even call you to hang out!

Unless you're specifically looking for girls on facebook, in which case the thing you're doing is probably more efficient.

Here's my specific advice for this particular scenario. Don't ever do this. Just seriously, DON'T. The women you meet at hobby stores/game shops tend to be...a tad bit odd.

I'm not saying this in some kind of egotistical superior way, but you can meet some really "odd" women at game/hobby stores.

Your drunk posts continue to baffle me.

For the record, I tend to like odd people.

That aside, I don't know if Facebook people are really going to be a step up from hobby shop folks, as a rule. Just a step in a different direction.

... Hi dude.  Some of us also hang out on games forums.

I am having a pretty miserable day.  It's not that anything concretely bad has happened.  I just feel horrible.  Haven't slept well in a week.  Keep having panic attacks as I'm trying to sleep or sleeping, waking up with my face pressed into the wall, feeling scared.  Nightmares.  Obsessions.

*sigh*

I had the same sort of reaction to this comment, but I forced myself to ponder it a bit further.

I don't think this is anything to do with girls who play games.  I think it's to do with people that hang out at gaming stores, which I have to admit... I have met more people who fulfill every worst stereotype about socially inept/non-hygienic gamers among the regulars crowds at gaming stores than in any other environment, including Gencon.
