It was a stroke. They found traces of another one too, which she either didn't tell us about or I guess didn't notice... At least she's fine physically as far as we can tell right now, she can move around and use her hands and such. We're not so sure about the mental state, she seems clear but like she has trouble with her memory... Might just be confused, I guess, that's pretty undertandable given the circumstances were it the case.

Oh God, I knew this day would be coming soon but I don't know how to feel now that it's here. After a few weeks of reducing my dosage, I'm finally going cold turkey on my sleeping pills tonight. I know I won't sleep, but the real question is: how many nights will it be before I do? Urgh...

Depends on how much we decide to be dicks and how much nightmare fuel we show you.

Yeah... I consider Turing's fate to be among the most shameful moments in human history... and there was no formal, public recognition of this until 55 years later...

People kind of suck. I wonder if I'm a sociopath sometimes for hating society so damn much.

You're not a sociopath, just a misanthrope.

The difference being a sociopath doesn't care at all.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Feeling sad today for no real reason.  Decided to have a crying session in my room, and I creeped myself out due to noticing my core thoughts were completely unaffected by my outer emotions.  Also, I noticed that I avoided crying with any significant volume because I didn't want to disturb my parents, because I didn't want their (unhelpful) comments.

Also, I am annoyed/saddened that learning how to use Paint.net is not easy, and it is instead like trying to wrestle someone while lacking hands and/or depth perception.
