Gonna be gone/mostly gone for another little while, as I promised I would at the beginning of the new semester, now that the mafia game I was in ended.

See y'all later~

*hugs*
Sad now. Take care of yourself, see you around.

On the bright side, they've apparently been put on hold indefinitely.

What, like that's gonna stop the whaargarble over them?

On the not so bright side, indefinitely probably means "until after the election". Since this is like the fifth, sixth? time something like this has been proposed, I doubt the shelving will last terribly long.

I heard that they'd only been put on hold for a month or so. Furthermore, my worry is that if they get put on hold for too long there's a chance they could get through congress at a time when someone less reasonable than Obama is president and thus not get vetoed.

So about a week ago my mother mentioned how if she and my father die everything except the money goes to me. The money is naturally split between me and my two brothers. I've been having nightmares about it ever since (except last night when I dreamed some weird dream about playing a mixed up RPG where I had to keep talking to people on the internet for help).

I really hope it turns out my parents are secretly immortal vampires that will rise from the grave should anything happen to them, I'm too irresponsible to be responsible!!!  :'(

If it was related then I'd be very impressed at your dark power.

Most of the comments on this article.

http://shine.yahoo.com/beauty/perfume-ban-hampshire-state-explains-why-193100759.html

Other than the excessively lurid headline, the article itself presents the facts quite easily. To summarize:

A woman with severe asthma successfully sued Detroit because the perfume of a co-worker was so excessive that it caused an asthma attack.

In response to this, a represenative in the New Hampshire state legislature has introduced a bill that would prohibit state employees that interface with the public from wearing perfumes or colognes on the job. In other words, the rules committee for a large employer has proposed a change in workplace policy.

Most responders act as if it's an attempt to ban all workplaces from allowing perfume, or even a total public ban similar to the smoking bans many places have enacted.

... I'd support a perfume ban in workplaces, really, or maybe just some kind of limitation on the amount or type, I'unno.

I've been put down a few times (once for a few days) due to being stuck near someone that decided it was a good idea to pour a perfume/cologne (same thing, really.) bottle over their head instead of bath (or something along those lines, gods know, but it was bad enough to make me physically sick).

I've been able, on a few occasions, to smell someone's cologne while in my car going 50, thirty yards ahead of their car. Of course, I've always had an absurdly strong sense of smell.

In any case, the proposal is nothing more than an employer setting a workplace policy, no different form my employer mandating regular bathing (sadly, this is in the union contract, and for good reason.) Becaue that employer happens to be a state government, people flip out as if it were an attempt to create an orwellian dystopia.
