Birthdays cease being fun once you're out of your twenties single digit age range.  :-\
Fix'd.

Dunno, Birthday was always 100% family for me, so for me they were ruined when I turned 18, the one where she was too sick to come, 4 months before she dieded ;_;

Nah, mine were all pretty good up through at least my mid-twenties. Steadily became more low-key affairs once I hit 30. Kind of nervous laughter like, "Heh...okay, Time, that's enough now. I don't need to get any older. Thanks, I'm good. No, really you can stop now!"

Turning 36 today. It's just after 8am, and all I want to do is go home, curl up in a warm bed, and hope that when I wake up it's the mid-1990's and I still have most of my life ahead of me, instead of being near the statistical midpoint of my life.  :-[

I still enjoy my birthdays. Despite already being past the halfway point of what time most doctors give me. Hey times limited anyway, not gonna waste it souring a day I can have fun on.

instead of being near the statistical midpoint of my life.  :-[

By that metric, my dad will die in 10 years and my mom in 17.

Yeah, let's not talk about that.

All this birthday talk made me realise a quarter of my probable life as been a complete pointlessnessity.

...I am not happy.

A quarter's not so bad. The first quarter of your life is tutorial mode anyways.

I've wasted the tutorial time as well. Bay12, you make me sad. I want song and dance in compensation.

There's no way in heaven or hell I'm going to be able to solve this problem set.  I'm missing some sort of critical understanding that's keeping me from completing 3/4 of it.

Like my mom always says, when someone says "I hate you!" while crying, it pretty much always actually says "I love you, so come back."
My Mom must really want my step-Dad every time I'm trying to sleep.

Also hey!  My Mom got lottery tickets and she can win 125 million dollars!!!  Isn't that amazing?!?!  Maybe she'll realize she'll still be miserable with or without money if she wins.

I want to do so much more with my life than I currently am. I will go home and either finally sleep or lay in bed trying to. I am beyond tired and unfulfilled.

I slept twelve hours today, barreling through my alarm clock's ringing and skipping 1 1/2 classes in the process. Sleepy. So sleepy. :L
