Yeah. Living in the South West right now.

Edit to add: Why'd you ask, a fellow Brit perhaps?

As great as Steve Jobs burying Sarah Palin for any reason is, there is a news story buried.  Sarah Palin has officially announced she is not running for President.

Why do I call this news sad to me?  It is to the detriment of the world that she will now utterly disappear from the public eye.  Just think of all the crazy stuff that will be left unsaid.

Steve Jobs gains one seventh of a life for every person who believes he died every time they believe it. After that last time, he became effectively immortal, so if he is alive this time he becomes a deity. If not, best wishes for his family.

No, I think this time Mephistopheles finally came to collect on their deal.

I generally hold no real outrage at politics unless it's stupidly basic moral crap. Palin was not really a problem for me, but goddam it, don't string people along for months and months. My mother was prepared to do a lot of work for your campaign. Why are you making a fool of the political system to make yourself a celebrity?

I would prefer she became the republican main runner than pull this crap off. At least she would be a bit more serious, and the people who believed in her would not have been fooled like this.

The republican election is just pretty wierd right now, there are so many people wanting to run for president. Then they drop out, then the spotlight shifts to another potential canidate, and then the cycle repeats. The press is even trying to force a guy to run for christ sake.

In took my grandmothers (all of them) a little while to figure this out.  I'm not sure how each of them is going to take it, but they were mostly pretty enamored with her faux soccer-mom persona.  I'm pretty sure one of them even donated money to "her" SarahPAC arm.  She's probably going to want that money back.

Just think of all the crazy stuff that will be left unsaid.

You've already got Steampunk Palin.  What more do you want?

I'll be fine with this if Grant from Mythbusters is the creator of Robama.

Because of weirdness between moving schools halfway through last year, I have ended up taking a history class with Freshmen this year.

It's horrible. Multiple kids shooting spitballs all period and a teacher who doesn't notice and/or care at all. And we did a review for tomorrow's test in groups, with extra credit. I knew the answer to every question, but teammates shouted out wrong answers before I could speak, and he took the first answer your team said. And history is the class where I need extra credit :-/

Freshman. . . .I swear they get worse every fucking year. I was never informed that Biology was for college bound underclassmen. I flew through the integrated classes in two years, and then found out that the so called "advanced" classes were supposed to start during your freshman year. . . . and nobody told me.. . .until the finally saw the quick progress I was making. Dear god biology teacher, put me in advanced biology, please! I can't handle an entire semester with these perpetually immature fucks! Gah! I'm so oblivious to all information that isn't hand fed to me, and I am suffering for it! In summary:Fuck all of the increasingly immature underclassmen. Grow the Fuck up. Thank You. Man, I wasn't even that bad as a freshman. Or even as a little 6th grader. What in the hell, modern society?
