I am faced with a dilemma.  Stay off the painkillers and retain my tactical skills so I can play Advance Wars while I recover, or stay on the meds, lose my tactical ability and thus my ability to play Advance Wars, and recover with no pain but bored to tears.  :(

Option 3: Stay on the meds and try to awesome your way through Advance Wars.

Do you have any games that require no brains whatsoever? Preferably something with lots of shiny lights and stuff.

Well, I arrived yesterday and it's a twelve hour train ride back home.
I came to visit my grandmother, the only person from my close family that I respect and have good memories with, who I haven't seen for some years now and considering her health, might never see again.

I really shouldn't blame my uncle.
Faith allowed him to endure a fate, where many others would have simply comitted suicide.
Not that he hasn't tried, but that was before he became a believer.

Isn't he, though? Also, he totally has Darth Vader's voice, helmet-reverb and all. Trust me, this improves the game muchly.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My brother came back to Finland. He's been cycling around Europe with his friends since June. He brought some beer from Germany, plenty of good stories and a MASSIVE beard...

and I haven't seen him yet. He's busy until very late tonight. Rats, I have to wait...

Aw, crap.
And now that my uncle has discovered that I own a tarot deck, the next few days will be about "the dangers of opening oneself to black magic".
I hope I'll manage to stay reasonable, when faced with massive amounts of bible-logic.

Hmm, I don't think I've heard it yet.

Vector: I must kill the Lynx!
Game: no, you are the Lynx
And Vector was a giant douche.

And I get the nagging feeling that something just as atrocious was used in the original release.

Well, nobody ever actually speaks but I always imagine his voice that way. Primarily because of that scene you presumably just got through in which he says the word "General".
