I managed to get Fallout 1's graphics to work without corruption, but the screen now randomly flashes black when I'm playing. *sigh*

Yeah. I think I'll just try to dig up a Dos version and run it on Dosbox. I hope there aren't any differences between the windows and Dos versions.

Are you on XP? In that case, disable directdraw hardware acceleration. If you're on Vista/7 that's not possible unfortunately. I play Planescape: Torment on a virtualbox XP install for this reason.

I'm on Windows 7 but I have Virtualbox XP set up. I don't use it too much, because it's really damn frustrating for me to run.

If I said I had a little sand in my eyes, would you believe me?

There has to be a better way to live than this, and I'm going to find it.

I am cringing due to the sheer stupidity of that website. What a load of fuckwits. As a matter of fact, calling them fuckwits is an insult to the idiotic people in the world. I cannot come up with a word to describe such wastes of cells.

I'm reading it because, frankly, I'm sure that the other side has things that I'm missing.  I'm not a man.  I never will be.  I want them to listen to me, so I'm going to listen to them.

It's just that particular page that started breaking my heart, I guess.

I don't think that there's really so many differences. Some men think every woman is a manipulative whore. Some women think that all men are chauvinist pigs.

In either case, both groups are bigoted jerks.

Vector, you don't have to listen to everyone. Sure, it helps to listen to the opposition in a debate. But those sort of people aren't the opposition. The opposition is any reasonably thinking body of people that can potentially be swayed to your side of a debate. Those guys are never going to sway to any philosophy that does not crown them master of the known world.

It's kindof the way they've named themselves that's annoying, though.  If they called the website http://www.misogynist-pricks.com/ it'd at least be more honest.

You can not dismiss people you can not turn to your way of thinking as invalid.

I don't think someones opinion should matter if it is set in stone. I give much more weight to the person who considers every point put forward than I do to the person who goes "nuh-uh I'm right".
