Yeah, but the doctors all see that it's an old problem that got delt with and can't be assed to do anything.

Probably bad that I smoke too =P

I'd hope that the doctors would see that you're currently coughing up blood and say "Welp, maybe we should do something about this??"

Speaking of smoking. Staying quit is fucking hard.

It's ,pre 'Hmm, well it's been going on for quite some time and it's only a small amount. So come back in two days." By that time it's healed up so not much to do :/

Also it really is, as I've got no money for the help that's on offer like patches.

Are patches cheaper than cigarettes? I legitimately have no idea, it sounds like they aren't and that strikes me as dumb.

AFAIK, most people will at first buy both, then slowly reduce the number of cigarettes until it reaches 0. So it's a little moot.

It depends on how much you smoke and what you smoke too. It's about 40 USD for two weeks of patches. Cartons are anywhere from half that to a little more. When I smoked a carton would last me a week and a half or so.

Of course the patches are cheaper in the long run though.

Actually, most people who manage to quit do so without patches.

Re: coughing up blood: sore throats can cause that, and there's not a whole lot you can do about it.

Yeah. I never actually managed to quit with the patches, it took going cold turkey for me.

Well, it was more long showers and lots of playing guitar.

Still, it seemed easier to just quit. Rather than drag the whole horrible process out.

On the upside, my mispelling made me facepalm and laugh for a few seconds.
