People keep ringing my door bell and asking for candy for no reason!  The nerve of them.

Thank you.
And don't worry. Things will probably work out.

I'll see, if I can do anything about the stuff I just realised tomorrow.

I have nothing to do tonight. I'm in an apartment, so I won't get Trick-or-Treaters, and all of my friends have parties to go to with other friends. I also lack a costume, which keeps me from festivities.

I suppose I could stream the Call of Cthulu movie, if people might be interested.

There was a Call of Cthulu movie, and no one told me?!

Yeah, it's an independent straight-to-DVD thing, styled like a 20s silent film.

Call of Cthulhu Movie launches at the top of the hour, so about 30 minutes. Get your popcorn, and your Elder Sign.

Yeah, I know that feeling.
Wouldn't be that bad, if I had some more people to chat with.

Elder Sign.
Barely related: I recall standing in line for a concert a few months ago, some self-important bitch who showed up after the line was already down the block and around the corner a ways (we'd all been standing in line for over an hour at this point, having arrived when there were less than ten people outside the doors), who starts trying to convince someone in the front of the line to let her get behind them in exchange for getting her dog while she's in the concert. A friend of mine decides to mess with her, so is standing talking to her when he sees she's wearing an octopus pendant, and starts raving about the deep ones and waving the elder sign around. She was left confused and angry, while everyone else bursts out laughing. She proceeded to proposition the roadies who were carting several dozen cases of beer into the tour bus to let her in before everyone else. It didn't work, and she wound up at the back of the line, where she fucking belonged. Shit was hilarious.

I'm home trying to find housing for next year (i.e. writing a billion emails) and mathing.  The mathing is fun, but the housing... not so much.

I wish I'd put a bit more effort into Halloween costumes when I was a little kid, rather than just throwing a few things together and saying "I'm going as a river!" :'D

EDIT: Hm.  I'm being chewed out because I asked my parents to talk about their deprived childhoods at some point when they weren't talking over me as I tried to get a movie ready for them.  Apparently I was supposed to sit there and sympathize.

I guess I can sort of see it, but on the other hand it seemed a bit ridiculous for our main interaction of the day to be dominated by "how sad we are that we didn't get to have Halloween like All The Other Kids back 50 years ago."

That made me all teary-eyed. Damn my bleeding heart.

I'm sorry for your loss, too. If I may ask, what happened to your dog? Or did I read to much into the post?

I'm sorry if I sent the wrong message. My dog isn't dead, it's just odd to me that it only took three months to have this make me teary-eyed.
