Three hours sleep again today, learning to adapt to this sleep schedule which I find necessary to do.  Thankfully woke up early.  At school it was ridiculous, I had to go around selling last minute tickets for the first two periods of school.  So tons of walking around for me and my fellow ticket seller.  We went to every single class in the school.  Most classes were good, but then you get those stupid ones where when you ask if anyone wants to purchase a ticket they just like stare at you until you leave, what the hell.  Other than that I was able to see Jack Nicholson receive a lobotomy and do a health test on mental disorders, fun fun.  Wait no it wasn't why am I doing this.

After that had my spelling bee thing today for the last two periods.  I was the main chief honcho of the affair with a co-chief honcho assisting me.  I was extremely disappointed with the word list I created, because even though I set the words in tiers for the relevant rounds it still felt like some guys were getting off easy while others kept getting the hell breaker.  Eventually one guy won and fun was had.  I hope nobody hates me, but what are you gonna do.

Now I type desperately in the sad thread for no reason what so ever.

OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE.

Spoiler: Formula (click to show/hide)

Replace "y=" with "integrate " and watch your computer explode.

I tried it, and I think I just crashed a Wolfram|Alpha server using that.

Success!

y = sin(xy)
Well that looks cool... and the alternate form is solved for is weird. It has i in it, but the answer is real, not imaginary. That doesn't happen often.

Or it could be that they end up wanting to raise things to an imaginary power.  I forgot about that one >.<

Crap, I don't even know what happens when you raise something to i.  Something to look into later today, I guess.
ec*i = cos(c) + i sin(c), so ai = (eln(a))i = eln(a)*i = cos(ln(a)) + i sin(ln(a)), though it might indeed overload the processor of a pocket calculator or any program not used to dealing with imaginary numbers.

Edit: wrong quote...

Behold, for I have broken Wolfram|Alpha.

y=sin(xy)^cos(x/y)

Yes, this is random garbage. No, I don't know what it means. It's pretty, though.

I always liked doing r = log(theta) on my graphing calculator.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm pretty sure my brain would break first.

Hey, what'cha got there, numbers?  Oh.  Oh God.  Oh God, it's higher math.  I think?  I see sines and cosines and crap.  Those have to do with, like, triangles, right?

At least they make some pretty graphs.  I wish I had know about Wolfram Alpha when I was in gradeschool, but it probably didn't exist then.  I yearned for an online, one stop shop for higher graphing functions.

That first paragraph there? That's pretty much exactly how my brainmeats react to math.

Why yes. Actually, my daughter says that she has a favorite body part. She'll lean in close to your face, get a serious, stern look on her face, and whisper, "I. Like. Neckmeats."

She's an odd cookie.

I bet you have a big tree-trunk neck, don't you?  Athletic and all.

I was so glad when my neck finally got a little thicker after my teenage years of looking like a beachball on a broomstick.
