Feelin' very lonely. I would love nothing more than to fall asleep in someone's arms right now. Problem is, no girl/boyfriend*, and no prospects. Sigh.

*Side note: is there a gender neutral term? This might get awkward to say every time.

When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Omegle. And Omegle video.
Why are there groups of 11 year olds on this thing?

Because it is a sick and twisted place.

Mother deleted my subdomain due to an icky Wordpress virus that I fixed on one of the blogs hosted on her account (which I fixed with no, with some neato grep and PHP knowledge). I would have gladly done it again rather than have my site deleted. It doesn't make sense to delete it in the first place though, it doesn't even use Wordpress like the other ones do. :/

And the backup on my USB drive was formated. And the backup on my computer was formated. And the backup on my other USB drive was apparently not made. :/

Question for Truean: could YOU get into trouble for offering these kind of discounts? I mean, on some "unfair competition" grounds

That frustrating moment when you try to remember a single word and fail miserably at it.

Even worse if you're multilingual and you can't even remember it in a different language and then consult a dictionary.

@Truean That undercharging problem you have is exactly why I don't really want to go into business for myself.   Half the housecalls I do usually end up being simple little 5 or 10 minute things, that I don't really feel right charging the 'housecall absolute minimum' of $55.   It's often simple stuff like installing a print cartridge, resetting internet equipment, or setting up a netflix account.  Hell, I must have gotten 3 cases of 'your monitor was not turned on' in one month.   If I set the prices the place would be deep in debt in a week.

Maybe if you just gave these guys a heads up about where the price is going, while still cutting a little off?   Might be a little better for them to have a little notice instead of BAM! bill.

I try to warn my clients if a housecall is going to go over an hour and suggest bringing it into the shop for a lower rate (if a housecall has the computer delivered to the shop at the end we charge the much lower shop fee), and usually they are happy to just have the warning.  I guess it shows yer not some sleazeball trying to milk every dollar out or something.  Though you probably don't have the lawyer equivalent of a 'shop'. :P
