You could make a pretty terrible joke about co-homology, though. It even fits with the discussion line.

Yeah, the one who wants everyone who has dyed hair to be deported =/
My sympathies, putting up with crazy relatives can be difficult.

I also can relate to this. I'm sorry.

I have had two boyfriends.  Therefore I am a whore.
I'm confused. So very confused. By the reasoning, not by the reasoning's existence.

I think god is supposed to tell you who you're supposed to marry or something, so you never have any love in your heart for anyone but your Man.  She was enthusiastic about the first (blond, very pale, actually Jewish :D) boyfriend, but she seems kind of less happy about this one >_>

Depending on the timing, you might be a polyandrist, though

I've dated multiple guys at the same time, and I apparently was going out casually with three different men (while angling for two women =/) at one point while one of them thought we were boyfriend-girlfriend and I had no idea (... we'd never even held hands).  So, uh, maybe?

I... I sound like such a player =_=

Thank you.  If it helps, I don't even know what cohomology is yet either.  Other than that it's apparently difficult.

Ah yes, everyone can relate to this. For example, most of my dad's side of the family is batshit insane. To the point in which I couldn't tell if my grandmother was extremely racist or just enjoyed seeing me feel uncomfortable.

I would offer Internet hugs to everyone who has to put up with that sort of thing. But my Internet arms would probably fall off before I finished.

EDIT:

Hm, I suppose the claim that these are steps along the way to god's ultimate message and thus still results of his will, is a non-starter? Usually doesn't work, but oh well.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Part of it is that I'm not dating a nice German boy, so that the three of us can sit around singing church songs (. . . Oma . . .).  But the real problem is that I'm not bowing to masculine authority the way I should be.  Basically, I'm one of those bad women who doesn't understand that her place is inherently inferior to that of a man.

The Old Testament really does take such views much more than the New one...

Yeah, they can... but it gets a little more complicated when you're dealing with family, especially family that's probably going to be dead in a relatively short time frame. It makes telling them to shove off (on that particular subject, anyway) more difficult, even if you really, really want to.

She also left the "for a man to lie with another is an abomination" quotation from Leviticus lying around in the guest cottage one of the times we came to visit.

Also, my step-grandmother thinks I'm a tramp.  Yay.  Don't I feel special.
...I'm afraid to know what she'd think about someone like me. :P

I'd probably give someone who thinks like that a heart attack myself.

Definitely know how hard dealing with crazy relatives can be though. My biological mother honestly practically tried to kill my oldest sister before she moved here to get away from the crazy bitch.
