I'm just now getting birthday presents for my two friends who were born in late January and early March. Luckily I think they both forgot my birthday earlier this month so they can't say that much.

Apparently there's some big initiative to increase the Bay Area's population by 25%.

Fucking excellent.
Is it due to people in surrounding areas needing more housing or something?

Finished Risen 2, but I haven't worked out all my piratey urges yet.

I still want to do some plundering, raping, and pillaging... although I could probably do without the rape part.

Do you suppose there's a good PnP RPG system for a pirate setting?

There's actually a great many. I suggest you try the GiTP forums for recommendations.

Is it due to people in surrounding areas needing more housing or something?

So, the deal is that they're creating high-density housing closer to freeway entrances and mass transit stops in order to alleviate pollution/commute problems.  The thought is that hey, people are going to move from wherever they were living to the high-density stuff, and the cities have to instate this in order to get federal funding.  But here's the thing: it's actually going to be stuffed full with people migrating from other places, so we'll have the same problem + even more people sitting in here.

Also, my step-grandmother thinks I'm a tramp.  Yay.  Don't I feel special.

She thinks that because I'm dating, rather than waiting demurely for a man to Choose me and make me his wife.

I have had two boyfriends.  Therefore I am a whore.

Hohohohoho.

Is this the crazy Hitler's Youth relative?

Also for a minute I thought you meant the other kind of tramp. Which led to mental images of you standing by the side of a road holding a cardboard sign that says "WILL MATH 4 FOOD".

Yeah, the one who wants everyone who has dyed hair to be deported =/

Funny enough, there's a professor who has "Will compute cohomology for food" on his webpage... heheh.

I'm confused. So very confused. By the reasoning, not by the reasoning's existence.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My sympathies, putting up with crazy relatives can be difficult.

Funny enough, there's a professor who has "Will compute cohomology for food" on his webpage... heheh.
I soooo wish I knew enough about advance mathematics to make a good joke about that... or even just understand what cohomology actually is.
