Got some of my exam results back!

Lit 126.1: B
German 1: B+
History 18: C+
Fil 14: F

Okay I'm an embarrassment to my heritage. But that's okay!

EDIT: By which I mean, my grades make me HAPPY!

I'm assuming that Filippino Courses in the Philippines is kind of like English Courses in America.

I failed English like 3 times in High School.

Well, Fil 14 is Filipino Lit, so at least it's not my major. :D

My university requires sophomores to take a foreign language course for some reason.

(Come to think of it, I could have just taken Spanish. Would've been easier.)

Lol, I got straight A's for everything back in school, except for Malay (my native language) and Islamic studies. My English tested out to be better than 99% of people in the USA, and higher than a lot of the people who were accepted into MIT :P

I wonder why everyone sucks at their native language.

I think because they don't test your own language the same way foreign language classes work.  For one thing, proper grammar rules aren't the way people actually talk.  Not to mention that American classes on English are on literature, not language per se.

Oh yeah, I'm happy today that I didn't oversleep class again.

Yeah, like most people my age, I have a near-perfect grasp of conversational Filipino, and a little Bicolano in the mix. However when they ask me to write a formal essay I just fall apart.

English is my forte. ;D

It's the only language I know, and therefore I endeavor to be good at it.

I'm happy that I got some free time this morning, oh and that I'm pretty much getting paid to laze around at home telling idiots what they are doing wrong. XD

Seriously I'm starting to enjoy working like this.

I speak using formal, dictionary language.

At least, I USED TO.

Of course, now, I'm using British-accented English, and some Deutsch.

Of course, since I'm a weaboo ::)

(But, I phailed in Bahasa Indonesia)
