I'm happy I did that too. I managed to be the first to look at that thread and had to physically slap myself to prevent replying. But I did it!

I had a whole reply typed out, the flood of relief that came from deleting said reply was overwhelming

Hooray for avoiding drama!

It's too bad, the OP really doesn't want or think drama in the thread.

But there will be!

1. (yesterday) went down to get tickets for a show tonight of my favorite band, Porcupine Tree

2. Tickets are sold out? WTF?!!!! The venue they're playing is BIG and they have never drawn crowds that large, at least not in America. This is a first-class disaster!

3. Several options considered. The more extreme ones include taking a bus to Baltimore (where they are playing Friday night) and then hoping there will be somebody at the show who's heading back to Philly and can give me a ride - the alternative being to wait till 6:30 AM when the first Greyhound leaves.

4. Go on the Porcupine Tree forums and post desperate pleas for anybody who's got an extra ticket.

5. By midnight, which is technically today, somebody PMed me saying he had an extra fan club ticket, which is hella awesome, because for only 6 bucks more than the regular price, you get in 15 minutes early.

6. So, barring sudden catastrophe or act of God, I'm still seeing Porcupine Tree and I should be in the front row or darn close to it  ;D

Also, this music video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dorvuCpNug

A mythical plant that-- *slap*

It's a progressive rock band that puts out very awesome music. Look up In Absentia for their most accessible album (IMHO). For a good taste of what they sound like, Lazarus, Heart Attack in a Layby and Blackest Eyes would give you a good clue.

Oh! Happy! Um... I'm getting free food in about an hour. Yes, that's sufficiently happy for me.

I'm alive. That makes me happy.

Was in the university for 11 hours, stranded because of Typhoon Ondoy (which is a ridiculous name for a hurricane that is responsible for dozens of deaths as of this count). I was with two of my friends. No guys around, which is okay because that may have made it a bit obnoxious.

Helped out distributing food and water to the refugees from the nearby squatter towns.

Now I'm home. I'm happy.

Humanitarianism always makes me happy.

Incidentally, I got around to seeing Coraline today.

I'm happy to have convinced my parents(who felt like forcing everyone do do a varietly of things, weekly) to let me make pizza once a week for most of it. I get to make one of my favourite foods rather than doing something I wouldn't enjoy. Everyone, especially me, is happy because of it. And when I move out(4-(~20+?) months from now?), I'll have valuable experience making pizza.
