I reckon there's no point in continuing this - we're talking about different things, you about 'is', me about 'can be seen as'. Still really excited about Battle Angel Alita.  I like the anime eyes.  Got used to it really quickly, and it's the kind of bold move I find endearing/memorable.

The eyes were strange, but I hope they're meant as more than an artificial gimmick.

As in, in anime eyes are used to convey emotion. I hope they're used in this context, rather than a "look! Anime eyes!" context.

Finally getting around to watching Gravity Falls. Why did I wait so long?

I just washed the dishes for the first time in aaaages.
Also today I finally got around to hitting up K-Mart for some government funded work clothes. Next time the cat decides to piss on my stuff, I'll be prepared! Now, I just need to overcome this heat-fuelled lethargy and work up the energy to exercise, and this will have actually been a fairly productive day, despite the warmth.

Also, I've discovered the joys of adding nooch to baked beans on toast. I'm still experimenting with nooch, but this is definitely the tastiest use I've found for it so far.

There's a live-action adaptation of an anime where main characters' eyes have been digitally enlarged to make them look more anime. Here's the trailer that's sparked some discussion. Personally, I don't think I could handle a whole movie of that but I hope other people enjoy it.

I think people in america do the "mangaistioning", or what ever it's called. nothing like permanently fucking up your eyes to have anime eyes

From the article I read, it's just her, probably because she's an android or something (I didn't watch the preview itself yet)

Alita is a cyborg.  Just like the innumerable other cyborgs running around in the Battle Angel universe.  I know how these rumors of her being a gynoid got started, and the only way they will stop is by informing people, so I will.

Definitely time to take away Cameron's CGI card.
