the thing with snow that i have noticed is that it really doesn't want to let you to stop moving.

Except when it doesn't want to let you keep moving.
at that point your generally not on the road anymore. :P

Ohhh, no.  That's *ice*.  Ice is a totally different beast.
I could tell you about ice...  In my hometown, we were lucky to get 3 days of snow a year, sometimes none.  But freezing rain?  Or nighttime snow that melted in the day and froze the next night?
So much ice.  The power would go out a lot from it collecting on the lines.  Up here in the mountains, that barely happens at all!

One assumes that redwallzyl was trying to drive on it without snow tires, etc.

compacted snow on a roadway is vary adverse to slowing down. i have had to slam on the breaks more than once to halt a slide on it and i accidental slid around a corner once. Michigan roads in the winter are hazardous. i pass at least 3 slide offs every day on the way back from university.

doesn't help that some idiots seem to like to drive around with a foot of snow on their back window.

I think comparing snow to sand is reasonable, excepting the fact that snow is made of very fine and fragile particles, not rocky granules between .5mm-2mm in diameter. Particles which also melt and form a liquid quite quickly. So it's more like driving on a layer of fine silt/clay mud.

They're both very good at getting you stuck. But in the winter the two inches of snow you see on the surface is probably supplemented by another inch of either highly compacted snow, slush, ice, or bare asphalt, or some horrible mixture of two or more of those, and there is absolutely no way of knowing what you're going to get, when conditions change every ten feet.

Sand dunes, at least, you know the soil is probably similar in consistency for thirty feet down or something.

Sonic Boom made Chris Chan canon

Oh my god he's still relevant? That trainwreck got way too painful to observe. Been a while. Could probably look to see what new horrors have happened.

honestly, i forgot he even existed until this post :P
He's always relevant, one of the most well-documented people alive

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Biggest low cow in this side of the galaxy. Guy got trolled so hard he essentialy changed his personality 3 or 4 times and caused massive damage to his immediate family. The whole tale is so warped and insane that people sometimes end up questioning if CWC himself isn't just the world's greatest troll ever.
