It's because truck horn fistpump is the only truely universal language. Ergo, everybody can understand it. And what's the only thing everyone can understand? Love. Therefore, truck horn fistpumping is love, and reciprocating by honking is the return of that love.

I'm back home, after a pretty good holiday. Hiked an unreasonable distance in total, accidentally entered some out-of-bounds zones while canoeing because they hadn't roped the tributaries properly, have hella saddle bruises from mountain biking a bit over 20km. Also a bunch of a other stuff. Saw a handful of leopard toads, saw a few super tame bushbuck, almost engaged in honourable man-to-man combat with a baboon. Good times.
