Ah, dat ending, though!

All it needed was slightly more booze to make it perfect.

I've picked up Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney and it's amazing. It has wacky characters, puzzles, courtroom shenanigans, people being incinerated alive and spoony bards. What else could I want?

Also, Inquisitor Barnham is a serious contender for the title of "Most Normal Ace Attorney Prosecutor", which is impressive for a guy who swings around a sword.

I've just watched the film "The World's End" starring Nick Frost and Simon Peg.

The resistance speech is just as and equally American, though! :P

The resistance speech to me didn't feel like it was American so much as Rebellious Teenager - they just want to be free to have a good time, not anything to do with fundamental liberties of man or anything 'American' in that manner. He never grew up - to him,

Did you know all the pubs show in the film use the exact same props? They did it to show their feelings on all the little village pubs being bought by big chains now.
Pubs? What pubs?

The point of it didn't used to be 'get hammered', though. Of course, people did, but the whole plan wasn't get knockout drunk so you can't remember the entire night. It was to go down the pub and meet your friend,s have a game of darts over a few beers, when it got late head back to the missus. Maybe it's just rose-tinted glasses, but binging wasn't seen as a shining example of a good night in the same way.

Pubs in my experience are just restaurants with more alcohol. In Seattle, I know of an English pub, an Irish pub, and a Scottish pub. I've been to all three, and I never partook in the alcohol. (Not old enough anyway, although my dad did offer to share once or twice.) although, the English-style one does brew it's own root beer, which is damned delicious.

I go to pubs (well, mostly bars), and I live in a city...
I guess a lot of that is because I'll usually be seeing bands as well, but not always. And there are plenty of pubs and bars that do a roaring trade around here without having anything to do with live music.

ANYWAY. MY HAPPY:
The thing which I was dreading having to do today? I remembered that I'd already taken care of it. :))
And then my shirt bribed me to wear it with $5, which I subsequently used to buy myself breakfast at Subway.

I actually got bribed by my pants this morning too. Given I forgot I left 3 dollars in them I decided I'd wear them today.

I never imagined you as someone who wears skirts, I have to say.

I'd be wary of pants that try to win you over with bribes, honestly. Especially if they're the uncomfortable, clingy sort.

The best pants are the ones that just sort of hang around, occasionally brushing up against you as a reminder that they're still there. Especially if they're the reliable sort that you can have hold your keys and wallet without worrying about stuff going missing.

Yep. No idea how that five dollar note ended up in the pocket, although I'm assuming I was involved somehow. :P
I actually quite like this shirt, now that I think of it...
