Who here has seen Divergent and did you like it?  I thought it was a great movie.
Eeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I read the book first and it ruined me. Future teen angst romance bleh.
Fair enough.  I more look at the plot, not the inevitable romantic subplots, unless they are impossible to ignore (I'm looking at you, second Hobbit movie).
What happened in that?

If I try and type it, I am going to throw my computer out the window.

Why must all movies have romance thrown into them?  There are certain movies where a romantic subplot works, but adding one to EVERY... SINGLE... MOVIE is a tad unnecessary, and even more so when it makes no sense.

There was romance in it?
There was a romantic element to most of the movie, including a love triangle involving one of the dwarves.

I haven't seen either, but surely there's no characters to make a love triangle with? Unless they made them gay, I suppose.

Two elves and a dwarf, actually.  Not quite a triangle, but a dilemma nonetheless.

If the other two were dragon and mountain of gold, I approve of it.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

They put in a female character, since there's literally none in The Hobbit.

And of course, because they put in a female character, she's got to be in a love triangle.

Wait, that was romance? I thought they were just recognizing each other as weed dealers.

Thus why I hate modern society.

I suspect some of the giant spiders were female. Also Beorn's animals - at least some had to be female. And the Wood Elves must have included some females. Women at the Prancing Pony. Some she-goblins and she-wargs. Some of the giant eagles.

Prooobably none with dialogue though. Although I suspect certain Dwarves of the Party didn't have any actual dialogue either.

Besides, the book is called The Hobbit, not Let's Talk About Ladyproblems.

So I saw 300 - Rise of an Empire today.

It was nice to watch it with someone intellectual enough to enjoy the film.
Wait, what ?

Romance? Is that how they're extending the prequel book to three movies?
