Your computer isn't too good to play Crysis, Crysis isn't good enough to run on your computer.

I've read some fanfics that were genuinely better than the works upon which they were based. I am currently reading "A green sun illuminates the void", which takes one of the most obnoxious anime caracters ever to exist and turns her into something genuinely likable, as well as combining believable psychological drama with radioactive-hate-fire-powered action.
There's a few of those which I've encountered for video games like Mass Effect.
Well, only one that I can recall right now, and one for A Song Of Ice And Fire.
And of course the best Harry Potter fanfic ever. If you want I'll PM you them.

Are we thinking of the same one?

It's likely, yes. It's been called too esoteric, too 'out there'. But in spite of that it's glorious.

Today was an awesome day. I caught a mouse, touched a boob, aced a physics test, got free cake, and found a free headphones. And I bought the first 3 books in the Discworld (Sorry) series.

...Part of me wants to grab you and scream that it's 'discworld', not 'diskworld'. But that would be bad social skills. :v

I remembered to get my mom's birthday present on time, for once. I didn't even have to be reminded, either. It's sad how proud I am of that.

Now I just need to get one for my dad. I should have probably just got them both at the same time, since they are within a week of each other.

I want to grab him and do that. Unfortunately, telegrabbing is impossible.

Also, remembered my favourite quote from the Tiberium Wars fanfic:
Quote
Yea verily, though I charge through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am driving a house-sized mass of "fuck you."
...I was saying that in my head as I was playing Renegade X about an hour or two ago.   Unfortunately artillery can easily target the house sized masses of "Fuck you", but I had ion strike beacons and I was already in their base, so it made no difference in the end.
EDIT:  And I've finally managed to finish the giant load of Latin work I had to do.

I thought the name of that fic sounded familiar, but didn't recognize it till that quote. Good stuff.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!

So I saw 300 - Rise of an Empire today.

It was nice to watch it with someone intellectual enough to enjoy the film.

Fair enough.  I more look at the plot, not the inevitable romantic subplots, unless they are impossible to ignore (I'm looking at you, second Hobbit movie).
