I do, unfortunately. It's like a wound that gets chronically reinfected. You start to forget that it's there and then BAM! You read about the genocide in Rwanda and depression hits you like a sledgehammer and you cannot find anything positive in life anymore and life seems like a horrible viscous nightmare from which you cannot awake and you take a knife and start reading that suicide manual you got from Japan as a joke.

I blame it on those sedative pills they gave me when I was 10.

But it's gone now, or at least dormant.

Was having trouble with an online physics problem. Was checking my answers and they were oodles off and I had no clue why. Finally check all the givens again; the mass was in mg instead of g. Correct my calculations, and suddenly my answers are right (and actually make sense). Booya.

I'd rather understand it than forget about it. :))

Also...the thing in Japan is connected to honor. We understand it here, but we don't do suicide here, mostly.

Happy Birthday Talvieno!

The book itself. Its popularity has nothing to do with honor and everything to do with japanese workers being overworked to the point of psychosis and being heavily repressed by their culture.

I beat Metro Last Light. Damn, that was an awesome game. Ending was especially great. After a whole game of making every shot count, suddenly finding yourself with a relatively infinite supply is soooooo satisfying. Now, I've heard that there are two endings in Last Light. Any truth to this?

It's plug.dj playing all the Pokemon movies. :D
There was even Pokemon Origins.
Currently starting Pokemon The Movie 3. Hehe, last time I saw this, I was like 8 years old. ^_^

According to the wiki there is.

I'm assuming that the way to get the endings depends on how 'moral' you were, like in the first game.

Well, I dunno how I could be more moral, save for not killing anybody. That's probably how you do it. I know it's an achievement to not kill any humans unless forced, but I dunno.

It's still the 28th where I am, so technically it's not too late to say happy birthday.

I was initially confused due to reading this out of context (fuck yeah default posts per page).

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Hi.
I am DarkDXZ, a new local ninja backdooring Trojan virus.

What does this mean?
I am hidden now. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHEN I AM ONLINE, MUAMUAHAHAHA!
...Then again, I am online like 85% of the time so this doesn't really change anything, but still. :P

that's why they act so snobbish and elitistly assholish.

Today, after helping an incoherent, vomit-covered girl get home with the help of a very nice homeless guy, I realised that I love all people, regardless of anything, with very very few exceptions. It's a wonderful feeling.
Woo! Universal love!

Even to the misanthropic cynics!

Especially to the misanthropic cynics! They just need a hug and some help. People don't become cynics without some trouble along the line. And they don't really want you to join them, they just want to prove to themselves that misery is inherent in the world and thus they are not worse than everybody else for posessing it in abundance, that's why they act so snobbish and elitistly assholish.
I resent that.

Hell, I even don't hate faschists. Sure, if they surface in my country's government, like they are appearing to do, I'll grab a gun and go shoot them, because there will be no other choice if I don't want Nazi Germany to happen all over again, but I won't hate them. I'll bandage sutvivors and treat them humanely and all that.
Hugs won't remove the advert-induced cynicism.

Or the bully-induced cynicism.

Or the 'native-Brit-so-cynic' cynicism.
This, this, and so much this. Thank you.

Quod erat demonstrandum, what can I say?

And don't worry, Darvi. You don't need to stop cynicising to get my love.

Also, what are those "adverts" and how can they induce negative thinking?
