After reading through many Lovecraft stories, I have felt compelled to pick up the most cheerful book I can find.

It is quite cheerful.

My teacher has told us that he wants certain roles filled for our DnD campaign coming up.
1. Paladin who believes in a god that doesn't exist.
2. hilariously charming sexually overactive gnome.

I seriously wish I was 1.
Dare you step into the magical realm?

That sounds like it's going to be interesting.

Bought some fancy colour pencils today (they cost me quite a bit as far as pencils go) and it turns out they're watercolour pencils, took me a bit to figure them out, and I'm sure I'm not using them properly, as well as not using them with the proper paper, but I've found a use for them :D

Do you know, I'd forgotten how god damned pleasant my great aunt is. I was kind of expecting having her over to be stressful, not necessarily because she was being unpleasant, but because I was expecting it to be emotionally demanding. But nope, she's so amiable and mild mannered, that it's actually been pretty nice...

I'm really sort of surprised at myself for not remembering what she's like. I guess I'm just so used to family members being unpleasant to be around.

My library put out Hemans' Complete Collection, an exquisitely bound book printed in 1853, on their clearance rack for one buck. Then I nabbed a smaller, leather-bound one for another buck.

They're old enough that flecks of pigment off the cover stuck to my hand on the walk home. I'll have to treat 'em gently. But man oh man, I've got this great big tome of poetry from a female poet the likes of whom I've never heard of and it's in superb condition for a book that's 160 years old. I'll definitely read them, too, judging by what Wikipedia had so say about her.
Man, nothing's better than a really old book. I love finding those.

Soft gloves. These could be worth a lot of money.
