So the rest of my summer is shaping up to be pretty awesome

Tomorrow me and a few of my buddies are going to a cabin on the lake. Catch a few catfish, play some poker, etc. This also means that I get my precious Zebco rod back, which i'm very happy about.

Next week on Thursday i've got Open House (blegh), followed by a goodbye bonfire for one of my college friends and the first one act play meeting of my senior year (YES)

Even better, I don't have to wake up early to work on the yard tomorrow. me and Dad couldn't get the weedeater or the pushmower to work, so it seem like I'm doing jack shit tomorrow, followed by LAKE PARTY

So, I went to FNM tonight. I lost every match, but bizarrely I can't bring myself to blame the mill deck, which performed exactly as expected when I was able to cast things. I forfeited two in an effort to avoid being an asshole, and in the others my deck just conspired to fuck with my land availability*; out of the lot, only one game was a lost cause. So, I guess what I'm saying is, I managed to have a decent time even though I didn't win anything.

*In each match I didn't forfeit, I lost one game due to mana starvation and one to mana flood. Color ratios were never a problem.

I went to FNM too! Drafted mono-green, basically seeing a Scavenging Ooze first pack and saying "YES!"

I played Magic once. They hooked me up with a mono-red deck, what ever that means. Went pretty well. I don't see what the big deal is, you just turn cards and win, not really any depth to it.
