I need to get legos again.

I want to try making all sorts of odd vehicles like I used to. Hell, me and my neighbour created a small town from legos. starting off with my single small house.

I built it to replace his 'house' that was about 2 bricks tall, and 3 long.
Few simple steps:
#1: Get girl pregnant
#2: Claim "Firstborn" rights at your parents house
#3: Claim all the legos from you and your brothers (about 1 m3)(that is a LOT)
#4: Pretend to play with your kid (but actually, you're not)
#5: You already profited.

Worked for me :D

Aren't there other way to get Legos? I think I've heard that you can actually buy them. And I haven't noticed the new ones being any worse in quality than the old ones, other than the gray colored pieces having a bit more of a bluish tint, but I think that might have been intentional for some reason. On the other hand, they do seem to cost quite a bit more than they used to, maybe not enough to justify getting a girl pregnant, but, if you do stand to get a significant windfall of Legos that way, especially some of the cool older sets, you may be tempted. I, myself, was fortunate enough to be the youngest and only boy in my family and to have kept all my Legos, so I don't have to make that sort of decision.

In semi-related news, looking over my notes about my Lego space-related doings, I seem to have created a rather awesome setting in my youth. It was a rather pulpy sort of fantasy sci-fi, a bit like Star Wars but not quite, and included such things as high-energy power crystals, one chick who wielded a bow and arrows IN SPACE apparently, a species of energybenders, a species of fish people who had ships moved by space propellers and wielded electro-harpoon guns and possibly could create shaped energy projectiles (it was either them or the Insectiods), a half-human/half-fish people dude, a dude who was the last member of an advanced ancient species tooling around in powerful fighter, a sorceror species who either didn't or couldn't use technology themselves (but were perfectly fine flying around in other people's spaceships), and probably a bunch of other stuff I'm not remembering right now, plus many variations of blasters and laser guns and electro-katanas.

Just bought Mirror's Edge for $6 as opposed to the $20 asking price as part of a flash sale on Steam.

Whoop whoop.

Now I just have to wait for my 70 kb/s connection to download the approximate 6,000 MB.

...whoop.

You could try using Color -transparent- for once.

Quote from: The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout.  There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men.  For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own - for the children, and the children yet unborn.  And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

<3 Rod Serling.  This gets more awesome every time I see it.

Ah, I remember that episode. One of the best, IMO.

Passed math, like, fuck yes I actually PASSED MATH!!!!

This leaves the other exam but still, this is a huge morale/confidence booster :D

Also a friend of sorts (or even a cousin, not sure, his family were neighbours to my late grandparents) is going to feature some of my artwork in his blog, spreadin' the love all the way around baby!!!

In the end if steam decides to tottally fuck me over in regards to the current plans I'll have leftover cash for gifts for Christmas and probably more for the inevitable Christmas sale (which I hope will feature some of the stuff that's on the sale now).

Also @ the whole lego stuff

They are indeed the most awesome toy ever concieved (until they make jetpacks or hoverboards or zero-g game arenas), too bad they're so damned expensive and limited in selection around here, but, one of my cousins gets some every Christmas, and so far they've proven more than awesome (he gets to play with my laptop I get to play with the legos) :D

I'm posting here to make a spoiler. May be NSFW.

Spent all night with my ladyfriend last night. We had a pleasant night out, went to dinner, and went back to her place. I checked out her internet connection because it's been shitty, and dumped a bunch of music onto her computer. While we were waiting for the music to transfer, she grabs my hand and leads me to bed. This is fairly normal for us. She's as raunchy as I am, and that's kind of saying something. However, last night was not normal. Last night was...

Three. And a half. Hours. Nonstop.

At one point, I seriously thought I was going to pass out because my heart was beating so hard. I don't really think I should go into further detail.

Sorry for the bragging, but I had to get it off my chest. Now where do I collect my high fives?

HAYOOOOO!!!!

o/

I have a friend who's, let's say very outgoing about that kind of stuff, to the point of being uncomfortable sometimes, (can't really look at his girlfriend normally anymore :C ) so it's nothing too extreme I think :P
