Played more Sniper Elite V2.

Oh, my, god. The Flaktower mission is like the best thing about the whole game so far. The tower itself looks pretty accurate to photos of the Zoo bunker in berlin, and it's quite the awesome place to sneak into, through, around and then out of after TAKING THE GOD DAMN SHOT.

Also I should mention how effective the music and visual style of the game is. Really it's been great from what I've played so far. If anything I might just be a little sad that I'm getting ever closer to the finish of the game.

Also after checking the leadarboards it seems cag has me beat for score in two levels. I need to fix that soon.

Had a good Cinco de Mayo, despite the fact I spent more time in a local Irish bar if anything. Not much of a tequila/Corona drinker here; I prefer Guiness. Managed to make contact with a few people I used to work with in the past and listened to some awesome music.

Finally finished the SRW alpha gaiden LP over on the LP archive. 251 parts! Crazy.

But fun enough. Wish I had a functioning computer capable of running an SRW game, but eh. Super Robot Wars makes for decent reading. It's like crossover giant robot fanfiction with nicely animated SD sprites kicking the crap out of each other! What's not to like?

For every CoD faux-expert that thumbs their nose at these, there will be an equal number of fans of military sci-fi that will pick it up. Sorry, but I doubt this will bomb.

That sounds like the proper route for CoD. They nailed "arcady run'n'gun" with 4, failed "realistic FPS" with everything past that (along with "functional matchmaking or proper server support"), so it's about time they decided to go for balls-out crazy.

I never played CoD like a realistic FPS. I've always done the arcady run-n-gun, popping grenade launchers everywhere and waiting for my health to regenerate. As long as the game has some awesome visuals and intense moments, that's pretty much all I ask.

I actually hope the new direction for Black ops 2 takes the series into a new and more intresting route. I just wonder what kinds of weapons we'll be shooting. Energy weapons?

... Am I gonna get a laser? Please tell me I can use a high powered laser rifle at some point.

Me and my brother played split screen COD 4 with low and not regenerating health, our favorite kill was hitting each other with a flashbang (not as in the explosion kills them but as in when it hits you you die) for a insta kill. We also loved no scope sniper duels and pistol only matches.

Sometimes I miss split screen, why don't most games include it nowadays?
