I'm gonna sit awake here and wait to watch my first paycheck materialize in my bank account. I hope it happens soon.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I'm in college so I wouldn't know, but my parents live right by a bunch of schools in a residential area, They were basically answering the doorbell all night, going through bags of candy.

My block is sandwiched between several houses that the police like to take plants out of, so I don't get many trick-or-treaters.

This. I get paid on the 1st of the month after I did all the work.

Happy birthday! Now go buy some smokes because you can. You don't have to actually smoke them, just buy them with your newfound adulthood.

Happy Birthday, have yourself a Trick-or-Treat smoothie. Make sure you don't have any circus peanuts in the mix. XP

I could buy a knife at 12. Not sure about the whole legality bit though. :P
Ooh great idea: buy a gun! You might not be able to buy a handgun on account of they're easy to conceal and ou need a permit for that, but you could probably buy a rifle.
If you have a lot of spare money though.
