I was walking home late at night, with a friend, after it had rained, and it was all dark, but there were streetlights, and everything was glimmering, and dripping from the rain, and there was LIGHTNING flashing across the sky, and it was amazing. There were long, thick, streams of water still going through the gutters, and they were hard to see, and I kept stepping in them, but it was still awesome.

I'm at the radio station where my dad works.
Currently in the audio library, looking for things to rip.
Good gods, information overload. D:
But I did find an Audioslave disc, so...
Kind of random, but could I ask what radio station that is?

Read a job posting on Bioware's site for a Game Story Writer.  And you know what?  I swear I could actually do that job if I had the years of experience they require.  This is a good thing and it makes me happy.

I want that job.
Here's the link :P
The 2-5 years of professional writing experience are "preferred". Sure that still means it's required, but I thought I should point out that technicality.

If I had the college degree for it, I could totally do it. I like their guidelines for submitting an example of writing skills to them.

That would be a pretty cushy job.  Bioware storylines are all made from the same mad lib anyway.

Belated, because I was away, but:

Metro 2033 is really awesome. .3

Oh hell yes. One of the best games ever, and probably the game with the best atmosphere. Also bonus humor for Russian speakers.

Anyway, I'm back. That made me happy.
Also this. This is the most Lithuanian video ever. It starts off ok and keeps getting more and more insane.

Seems 80% of all Swiss conversations consist of pointing out and laughing at the various dialects and differences between the three or four major languages. And zout alwazs know when this happens because thez laugh.

And mz god I guess the air here just bleeds peace because even hornets are non aggressive. Thez just take little slices of meat from whatever meal zou are eating and flz off. Its a biyyarre countrz of amaying things. Including this funkz kezboard.

So I finally visited this little Asian shop, I kept walking by and bought everything I need to make maki sushi. The shopkeeper was really nice and we chatted for a bit.
Oh boy and then when the problems started.

Cooked way to much sushi rice. Not so bad, since it's delicious.
Failed to properly season the rice.
Couldn't figure out how to use that rolling mat.
etc.

Why is this in the happy thread, you ask? Because it was a fun little adventure  :D

A question to the people, who actually know how to make it right:
How do you season the rice? The shopkeeper told me to use rice vinegar and a bit of sugar, applied directly in the rice cooker, if I recall correctly.

The rest can be looked up on youtube tutorials.

No. Just no. There are games with far more atmosphere. Are you familiar with The Void? How about The Path? Pathologic? I've not played Metro 2033, so hell, even Braid might have more atmosphere than it. But I will never, ever believe an action horror game made from a book will be more atmospheric than games I've played that run on atmosphere.

I've seen 4 or 5 honey bees on one patch of flowers today. I haven't seen them in such abundance since I was a little kid. Nice to see them coming back in force around here.
