I'm having a multiplayer minecraft challenge thing today, since I got home super early. Anyone interested?

I personally found LoTR boring too. Yet... I did like The Hobbit.
Same here. I enjoyed The Hobbit, but got too bored to really finish Fellowship of the Ring. Other than Tom Bombadil, he kicks ass.

The lack of Tom was the biggest disappointment in the LotR movies.

Maybe y'all just weren't sufficiently "bookish".

I remember being fairly bored by the first book as a kid too. It was only when I went back as an adult and read it again that I really appreciated it. And being a history geek, I'm one of those rare birds that totally loves the Silmarillion.

I <3 the Silmarillion. Unfinished Tales is a good read as well, as it expands on the history of Numenor.

I got the CD I ordered in the post this morning, and 2 days early at that. Currently scaring the neighbours with Left Hand Path by Entombed.

EDIT: We won!!!

Daughter turned down a hotdog as a snack, opting instead for broccoli and carrots. I'm happy that she can even eat them, let alone liking them. ^_^

This. This so much.

I loved the Hobbit, yet the LOTR killed any and all intrest around the time when they got to the mountains. I watched the movies, which were acceptable, and the games were fairly good, but Tolkien bored the living hell out of me.

I prefere Salvatore and OSC, myself.

Did she tell you she liked them? She may not, but maybe she's actually really smart and forces herself to tolerate them like I do and did. I remember eating foods I hated when I was five because I was fully aware that they offered unique vitamins and minerals and I would be damned if I handicapped myself like the others in favor of more flavorful foods.

Get an IQ test we may be looking at a genius here.

On the matter of books.  I'll like a book if it's interesting to me, as simple as that.  The visual novels that 07th Expansion make are pretty much just sound novels anyway.

Oh, and my professor type person responded, they said what I got on the calculus placement test is fine and I can take the class I want, sweet.
