 The gameplay and visuals are not too bad, but fuck the noise.

 As for me, just finished a project due tomorrow, whoo. Now I have to depend on my partner for the rest of it in class tomorrow.

Finished all but one of my problem sets for next week, and I have a full four days to do it in (and mostly understand the material, I think!).

Now I just have to make sure that I don't screw this up.

Still trudging along on Leyenda. Think I've finally gotten used to mixing bar cords and flamenco. Need more practice!

Edit: I may post a video showing me playing the intro. Just so you know I'm serious. (and to get a morale boost)

Well, considering who Sariel IS, there is no clear canon for him (her, in the case of Touhou. Angels have no gender anyways). One must remember, though, that nearly all stuff regarding angels/demons/etc. is non-biblical in origin, most lore coming from Enoch/Kabbalah/ Christian Writers post-Bible. He is variously an archangel, a primordial power, a teacher of magic, a fallen angel, a (benevolent) angel of death. Angel/demon stuff is wonky on virtue of being mostly fanon.

In addition, what stuff that IS in the Bible about angels make them truly terrifying creatures. Thrones, especially. In fact, the Evil-Eye boss in the first game very much resembles a Throne (the weird circles with eyes mentioned in Ezekiel. Why god needs a mode of transportation is beyond me).

It's kind of like Touhou. There IS a canon and solid characterizations (for some characters), but fans choose to ignore it and make there own stuff up, even if it contradicts the Canon. Just replace Touhou with Bible and fans with believers. There is so much, I have discovered, that one can learn about societal structure from studying fandoms.

Had a great time at my friends' housewarming party tonight. I ended up playing 1950's Trivial Pursuit with some folks, including a tiny, smart, and rather badass girl who gave me a run for my money. Ah, sudden irrational crushes... you make me smile so.
