Just had my best round of Mud & Blood 2 ever. 104 waves, around 430-450 enemy KIA, and 4 new ribbons: Infantry Specialist, Kyoto, Urb's Anatomy, and Gallantry. Just a very small amount of XP until I hit the rank above Captain.

It was going very good until about wave 97, when an engineer who had just laid mines was brought down by an MG42, and both my mortarman and bazooka, who were in the same trench, and neither had taken any damage the whole battle scratch that, I just remembered the bazooka had been killed once and the one here was his replacement, decided they were too scared to stick around and ran. Eventually, they ran us down with Kubelwagons and a flak tank, and an enemy mortar landed on top of the main bunker, destroying it. I resorted to calling in Naval support, and the last shell landed right on top of my troops. Only the sniper was left when I ordered a retreat-to-main-menu.

Before that, I had a Blitz wave of Flammenwerfers and Panzerschreks. Artillery and a minefield made one hell of a mess of that.

A damn fun match. Bunkers and minefields, much better than trenches, I think.

Spoiler: The ribbons I earned (click to show/hide)

EDIT: Lemme clarify that part about the guys who fled: the mortarman and the bazooka were in the trench, the engineer who was killed was out in the (mine)field, or otherwise he wouldn't likely have been shot.

I've gotten Etrian Odyssey III as well, something to tide me over till the new pokemon since I'm also starting to run low on new books.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well, the sugar has to be added, since there isn't much in mushrooms at all. So really it's more like an extraction of mushrooms in alcohol, but I'll see where this goes (I'm curious to see what the yeast do to their fellow fungus). Surely, if the dwarves can do it, it can't be all that hard. They're notorious fools, although perhaps I'm the greater fool for following them.

EDIT: Recipes do exist.

Wonder what it tastes like.

For the hell of it, I caved in and got .19 and decided to just jump in (play now! world with the most basic setups and a short history to get to the point; and play now! no detail preparation and naming to check out the features immediately) and check it out.

I'm liking the refined site finder in-game, and am intrigued with some of the new options. I haven't broken any ground, and just made a tiny pasture for my starting animals (mating pair of dogs and cats, a horse and a donkey) as a start. I'll try to explore it a bit more after I get my room cleaned up.

I guess tearing up is what I consider to be crying since I don't really ever get any further than that.
That's about what I call crying. Anything more is weeping.

I'm sorry, does everyone have a bieber-level fandumb for a different Drizzt to the one I'm thinking of? Because I think R.A. Salvatore is a good writer.
I actually like R.A. Salvatore's writing. I just don't like Drizzt. It's one thing to have a character that is trying to be a good guy, but another entirely to have a character who already makes no mistakes try to be a good guy. And of course, the trend now is that there are more good-aligned drow in RPG games than there are evil ones. I, for one, have banned drow from using scimitars or being chaotic good in my D&D campaign.
