Just had my best round of Mud & Blood 2 ever. 104 waves, around 430-450 enemy KIA, and 4 new ribbons: Infantry Specialist, Kyoto, Urb's Anatomy, and Gallantry. Just a very small amount of XP until I hit the rank above Captain.
It was going very good until about wave 97, when an engineer who had just laid mines was brought down by an MG42, and both my mortarman and bazooka, who were in the same trench, and
neither had taken any damage the whole battle scratch that, I just remembered the bazooka had been killed once and the one here was his replacement, decided they were too scared to stick around and ran. Eventually, they ran us down with Kubelwagons and a flak tank, and an enemy mortar landed on top of the main bunker, destroying it. I resorted to calling in Naval support, and the last shell landed right on top of my troops. Only the sniper was left when I ordered a retreat-to-main-menu.
Before that, I had a Blitz wave of Flammenwerfers and Panzerschreks. Artillery and a minefield made one hell of a mess of that.
A damn fun match. Bunkers and minefields, much better than trenches, I think.
Infantry Specialist: Earned at the 50th game if your total deployed infantry is less than 1000. Concentrate Fire cooldown is reduced to 30 seconds.
Kyoto Ribbon: Earned when 100 trees(in total) are destroyed. No bonus, and pretty much the only ribbon that doesn't have a bonus.
Urb's Anatomy: Earned when 100 enemies are blown apart by explosions. All new soldiers have a 10% chance to appear with grenades equipped.
Gallantry: Earned when 10 soldiers(in total) are saved from <10HP by a medic(below 10 HP, a soldier is incapacitated and can't move). From now on, every soldier saved from incapacitation gives 1XP to every soldier.
EDIT: Lemme clarify that part about the guys who fled: the mortarman and the bazooka were in the trench, the engineer who was killed was out in the (mine)field, or otherwise he wouldn't likely have been shot.
