Meh. I've got a girlfriend. I'm pretty sure she's going to join us in around a month's time when the spring semester starts and I take over with my D&D game. I suppose that's another few happy occurrences, running a game (set in Ptolus if anyone cares, wonderful setting) and having my girlfriend join in.

Anyway, after seeing our special forms of diplomacy (mainly shotgun) and stealth (mainly of the troll variety), they would probably be sent running.

My wife is a gamer. I understand your position, but one can never have too many ladies at an RP table. Besides, if you find some potentials that do stick around, you'll have less players with..er..testosterone stealth issues.

I found out that my hobby is cool. Every week during my Shadowrun game, a different female comes up and talks to us about it. They all end with some form of "That's so cool."

So, basically the only reason to invite a girl to play a game is if you're romantically interested in them?

Also, as a point of interest; the girl in my current D&D group is the one who always shoots people in the face after (or sometimes while) I'm trying to be diplomatic with them. She plays the most cowardly, calculating, and cut-throat Ranger ever, and it's awesome. She brings excellent snack foods too, and has good taste in chocolate; assets our group would not be the same without.

Not quite. That's just the one I'm most comfortable with and it would be easy to teach her. She's put up with my geeking out for years.

As I'm running the show after the next session, I'll invite anyone that's interested. It would have been rude to my GM to invite someone without asking him first. Plus this is Shadowrun we're talking about. Not the most newbie-friendly system for character creation.

Sorry for the hijack. I'll not post on the matter again unless someone asks.
