Just something I though was funny.

I was trying to spell politicians and my spell check came up with:

dishonesty
dishonest
plotters
dishonors

Made me laugh.

Actually got help and a couple more hours at work (thanks to a co-worker), and somehow I managed to wangle a day off for my birthday (in 2 hours), as well as somehow get another day of work the day after.

Still crappy hours though, but I got some hours nonetheless. Not going to stop me from looking for some freelance work however.

Oh, and I finally found out why I have so few hours to begin with. Working on it.

Thank God for the Superbowl. It really made my night a hell of alot easier. The additional help made it even more tolerable. I actually made it out on a good mood for once in ages without a hitch.

On a different note: I saw a commercial on [adult swim] advertising they'll be playing FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood next week. Sweet!

Playing FFTA2 On my DS! OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS GAME!

I really, honestly, love this game.
The final fantasy series in all of it's glory has nothing on this sub-series.
I love this game.
I'm gonna have a love-aneurism.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I know how you feel, I got A2 for Christmas and I've logged in around 55 hours so far.
My FFTA has at least 100+ hours.

My only slight rumbling is that they took out combos and made no real penalties for not following the law.

The law system was poorly thought out and built to spite you anyway.

For one, the AI didn't need to follow the law. It would break the law and get yellow carded, which didn't matter as it's not like the AI needs to atone for it's actions anyhow. There's also characters that have ribbons, which are items that are explicitly "I can break the rules whenever I want" items. Of course, you can never get one of these ribbons, and while there IS a special character that allows you to bypass any law, you can only get him AFTER you've pretty much beaten every mission anyhow. How useless.

Secondly, there are items that can change the laws mid-battle. Two, actually, there are those that can erase the law for the battle, or add a new one. The 'add' items are completely useless, as you'd only want to use them to hinder your opponents, but they aren't effected by the law anyhow, so you'd only want the 'anti-laws' in order to free yourself from the constrictions of laws anyhow.

thirdly, some of the laws were ABSURD! There's one law that says, get this, you're not allowed to fight. Hey! This is a BATTLE! Why am I not allowed to FIGHT?! Yep, if anyone does damage to anyone else, that's an infraction of the law, and since the AI doesn't need to follow the law...

FOURTHLY, if you were carded, you'd be penalized after the battle in some way. One of the penalties is that the offending unit would have one of their stats REDUCED PERMANENTLY! For perfectionists, this is UNFORGIVABLE. If you want an ideal character, you pretty much have to reset the game right there and do the battle again. Hope you saved recently!

On an unrelated note, I hated FFTA because it doesn't have multiplayer, so even though you can make your parties ridiculously powerful, you can never fight your friends to show off, or compete in any way. How utterly pathetic.

How long was FFTA1 supposed to be anyway?  I had no idea how the story or plot was supposed to work, so I just did every mission given to me all the time.  I'd clocked dozens of hours and only defeated like two of those crazy superboss guys, and that wasn't until way after I started.  I finally just gave up because the game wasn't going anywhere.  I mean, I know any Final Fantasy game is going to be a  grindfest, but that was getting ridiculous.
