I don't tend to go on multi-day benders, but I do tend to go through long periods of drinking very, very lightly then having one instance of excess and then regret it for weeks, before that cycle starts again. I so tend to stick to lager, so yeah...

Also, hangovers are merely a reminder of the fun you had the night before. Maybe not so much if you were drinking alone.

No, hangovers are awful, 100% of the time.

I was awake for four hours because of a hangover last Wednesday. During that four hours I was unable to eat, barely had any fluid, and it was all for naught since I threw up anyway :p the fluid merely made it so that I wasn't throwing up solely stomach acid.

My party days are well behind me. I'm not a young man any more _{i'm twenty two}.

Friend, I know what it's like to leave the days where you could drink a massive amount without feeling anything more than a bit tired the next day, but you can't let that get in the way of enjoying life. To quote some lame sappy saying, "you only get out what you put in," or in this case, you only... get the most of of, uh... what you put in and spew out? I don't know where I was going with that.

But anyway, a wee little bit of suffering the day after is nothing if it means you had an excellent time the night before.
Even in the worst moments when you feel like you're dying, when you feel like you need to move but will never be able to move again, when you feel like every single pore of your body is about to erupt with vomit and your body is going to disintegrate into soup, just look back to what you remember of last night and remember all the fun you had.
Also, "I'm not going to drink too much, I don't want to have a hangover"? Dafuq? That's future-self's problem, don't worry about it.

A friend of mine makes sure to drink an awful lot of water before going to bed when drunk. Says he's never had a hangover, and he can drink a bit.

No personal experience, so I'll have to take his word. Makes sense, though.

My hangovers tend to involve less violent expulsion of fluids when I drink water along with my booze.

As far as I can remember, I've never thrown up whilst hungover.
Felt like I was going to, certainly. Once or twice I believe I've even taken up position over a toilet or sink in preparation, but it's never actually happened. Yay?

Drank enough to throw up? Check.
Thrown up some mornings for no discernible reason? Check.
Thrown up while hung over? Never.

Never gotten particularly hung-over, though. Worst I get is the persistent fuzzy-headedness, from not getting good REM sleep. I haven't drank in a long while, either. It's been most of a year?

Unless you count that Apple Cider (the kind from a cider mill, not the hard kind) that started to ferment in the fridge a few weeks back? Or that surprisingly not non-alcoholic Kombucha my roommate and her sister gave me?

I'm old and boring now.
