Bleh, I ment WoN or Without number.
The Tyrant dosen't really need an escort, That build is amazing. I used a simmular build to have one singlehandedly knock out around half of Neruz'z tosters in a 1000pt game.

I think you won't have many points left to get more, as crushing claws are 35 points, But If you can, Wing the rippers.

Looks good

Never EVER put a seeker missile on a pirahna.
Get a hammerhead instead, And give it the missiles.
Otherwise, You'll just be wasting points.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You need WAY more troops.
Same thing with the missiles,  Try to get a squad of pathfinders instaed and use theier transport.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE PLASMA RIFLES.
Try out burst cannons, They are really cost efficient.

I have two 500 pt armies, and 4 750 pt Armies - What I want to use them for is noted above the army list. Any criticisms?

Actually your Devourers did very little, it was the melee attacks that ate me.

Devourers are great against low armour targets, but pretty worthless against tougher, high armour targets like Toasters.

C&C on this, please. I just made it up on a whim (much of the last hour was spent gathering books).

It's just hit me that a 1000 point IG army is going to be huge.

Unless I spend 500 points on tanks.

I had an idea for an IG army once.

Conscripts. Tons of conscripts, some Leman Russ tanks, and maybe some artillery. Providing you could get them all on the board, it'd be virtually unstoppable, at least so long as the opponent hasn't decided to take 3+ Monoliths or something.

Now tell me why this wouldn't work.

Well, I'm still pretty new at this, but if they fielded an immensely close combat orientated and included some heavy artillery, your conscripts would barely get a shot off and it'd be a shoot up between your big guns and his.

Unless you're playing Space Marines or something. Then you might be in trouble.

Which is kind of what you should be doing.

Blast weapons.

The fact that Cthulhu's demon blade gives him +2d6 attacks.

They might get three attacks in melee when charging, but will suck if you failed to roll a 5-6 for each squad at the beginning of the game.

Heh. Yeah, I guess. Might ditch a heavy weapons squad for more better tanks.
