...So, Jake is going to fly over to Dirk, dump him like a sack of flour, then kick him in his sack?

Now he has lost it. How in hell will that even look for the archival reader? Or somebody who has never surfed the homestuck tag on tumblr?
Yeah, this is probably the biggest problem. It's like Engage Hero Mode dialed up to eleven.

I bet that, some time after Homestuck finishes, someone will release a "commentry-included" version of Homestuck for new readers.

Nah. The commentary would be 80% "HUSSSSSIIIIIEEEEE!!!!" and 19% "Goddammit, I'm quitting Homestuck! FOREVER!"

I'll quit Homestuck. Right after the next update. Tomorrow. When the weather isn't as bad. As soon as I have work to do. As soon as I don't have as much work to do. As soon as I get promoted. After the marriage, darling. When the children finally move out. As soon as this arthritis gets better. Okay, it doesn't get better, but when the nurse comes again to change my bedpan, I will try to set the Notifier to 5 minutes instead of one. Just let me F5 once more.  I will quit, I promise. When my third clone host is fully servobred.

What the stupid is she even doing.

Spreading the infection...

Yeah, ever since Jane turned the imps into Zillium I've been thinking this.  Everything the glitch touches becomes more glitch.

This is stupid.

I'd make some feeble statement about how I'm quitting Homestuck but I don't want to look non-committal later.

So... Trickster mode is basically the same as tiberium?

I'm happy.

Also, I discovered Homestuck through this thread. As I read Homestuck, I read the entirety of this thread from the beginning.
It was very easy to get all the jokes that way.

But the jokes, when you don't get them, don't ruin the story. It's just mysteries when you don't get it.
Mysteries that are easily solved with Google. lol

So don't worry about archivists. If they bother to read all of it, surely they can bother to Google a bit.

So, I've been thinking about Trickster Mode, and holy shit, everything makes sense now.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
