It turns Cherubs into Cal-like Puppets. I think it
will turn Caliborn into Lil Cal, whose duplication through split timelines and Scratches and so forth goes on to spawn Lord English's canonical many incarnations.
Evidence? Alchemization of Lil Cal, in conjunction with the ectobiology we've already seen through Doc Scratch's origin, will allow these pupae to mature.
Doc Scratch becomes a special case of himself, in a sense. Since the
cue balls are canonically his "seeds", I had assumed they existed in countless universes and were combined with various things (Cal being used as a running gag) in order to produce that universe's iteration of Doc Scratch. Combining Cal with something becomes an analogous and parallel step in creating Lord English, except in the special case of our story in which they became the same step. In other universes, then, Doc Scratch might not have to die in order to bring LE into being. However, we can safely assume that the steps to bring him into being are extremely convoluted nevertheless, since Mituna rendered them a necessity somehow (possibly by retroactively contributing in some later update to the Cal-ification of Caliborn?). Lord English's eyes, then, become an inheritance from
Doc Scratch and his billiards theme, much as Scratch's plushy form was an inheritance from Cal.
In fact, I might go so far as to say that Cal is an in-universe diminutive of "Caliborn", which all the kids are aware of, but the audience never has learned. This is why Jade and Jake would know "terror no human ever has" if they knew LE's name, even though the audience is perfectly fine knowing "Caliborn" is his name. It's not something inherent to the name (something nobody, not even Hussie, could ever pull off properly), but to the context of knowing that the intensely creepy puppet that has a tendency to show up everywhere is secretly a universe-eating godslayer masterminding every terrible thing that's ever happened to you.
