The Alpha Kids must've made the lusus thing, or LE abducted them, and imported them into the troll universe.

or, you know, ectobiology :D the dead lusus were ghost imprinted in a lab and appearified to earth, by none other than... Betty Crocker!

What better way to crush your leading competitor, than to appearify terrifying lusi(sp) to the island she was exiled to? it also takes into account the monster's appearance... not quite crabdad...

It's King-size crabdad.

Jake has many influences on troll culture, I guess.

I know we're talking about updates here but holy shit I have a lot of fanart saved. I blame you lot, since it's all from this thread or else found through tracking down artists whose art was posted here. My Pictures folder is literally composed entirely of Homestuck now. My bookmarks, they overflow!

Only one thing to do now. Read more Homestuck art blogs.

What have I become.[/Standard Reaction to Homestuck]

Anyway I look forward to Karkat meeting KingCrabDad. Or KingCrabDad's corpse.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

If these are lusus monsters then maybe they're not hostile, and just want to make sure Jake is eating his vegetables or brushing his teeth or keeping his room clean or something like that.

Of course, KingCrabDad would only do that after strife, so yeah~

Maybe it's the FG and his guardian like how Bec was, because Grandpa/ma is dead and thus not much of a guardian.

Or maybe his brobot is his guardian? Nah that's stupid.

Luckily, Jake has some chilled roe cubes on hand to placate the guardian beast.

Dammit, you made me check.  But not inconceivable, surely the guy has run into the giant crabstrosity sharing his island before.

...Why is it huge?
