I'll try to convince them of the heroic necessity of the mission.  Think of the children and so forth.

Failing that, I'll promise them a worthy share of the earnings, namely the treasure we're sure to return with.

Alright, you try to convince them to join you for little or no material reward.

Spoiler: Dice Rolls (click to show/hide)

Aqizzar's sermon on the virtue of protecting the innocent, disregard for one's own health in the service to Lomoth Puketombs, and the glory of fighting the evil goblins(Not to mention the ladies...) moves the drunks to a fervor.  They rush to their homes to gather makeshift weapons, and when they return, request to begin the journey as soon as possible.

And people say Diplomacy Skill is useless.

Alright, we've got our weapons and some backup.  Let's roll out!

You set out eastward toward Blizzardsteals.  The day you start is uneventful, and by nightfall the parched plains surrounding Furytactics are growing less and less consistent, soon giving way to wooded marshland.

By midnight you are growing tired, and see no sign of the swamp ending any time soon.  You find a small area of relatively dry ground where you can camp for the night.  After a half hour of gathering what little dry wood you can find, you manage to start a sputtering, smoky fire.  As you sit around the fire eating a meal of dried rations, one of the drunks professes a need to "empty his waterskin".  He stumbles off toward a nearby tree, leaving the rest of you somewhat unsettled by his metaphors.

Suddenly, he begins to scream!  You see him begin to run toward the camp, screaming "Snake people!  There are snake people!"

Suddenly a ropy, glistening creature not more than three feet long leaps onto his back, but he flails wildly and manages to knock it off of him.  Looking more closely, it doesn't appear to be a snake person, but some kind of amphibian, with slippery brown skin and no head to speak of.  Instead, the anterior end of its body is terminated with a circular, jawless mouth.  Instead of arms and legs, it has four thin tendrils that sprout from seemingly random places across its body and keep it low to the ground.

In the nearby darkness, you see two more slithering toward him.

PROTIP:  They're Leechmen, in case you hadn't figured it out.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I'm not wasting spells on freaking leechmen.  I'll just scythe the crap out of them.

Wait, will I get to replenish my spells when we actually rest for the night?  If so, I'll cast Bane.

Stands to reason that the game starts in earnest now.  I have to go to work - back in five.  Hours.

I just checked, and you didn't put any points into your perform skill...

You'll need 3 ranks to use bardic music.  Since it wouldn't make any sense for a bard to not have ranks in perform, do you want to relocate some points from something else into perform?  If so, what skill?

Meh, we're about to get new skills.

I don't know which person I am on that map but SRSLY MAGE SHIELD TIME.

I assume all I can do in a turn is cast a single spell? XD

The +4 is your charisma bonus.  You didn't put any ranks in perform.

Mage Armor is a standard action, so you can move your normal speed in the same round you cast it.  Who do you cast it on?

Also, I'm working on the combat round, but it's slow going and I've got like 50 windows up.
